Cochabamba is the fourth largest city of Bolivia and is located in a fertile valley at an altitude of about 2,500 meters. Many ruins from the Inca period are evidence of an early settlement of the area around Cochabamba. In 1542 the region has became part of the Spanish colony and was first settled by Europeans. The Christ Statue “ Cristo de la Concordia" on the Peter mountain is the real symbol of the city. From here you also have a wonderful view over the city and the region.
