This program not only offers a 15-hour Spanish lessons (Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 12:00), but also offers you the opportunity to take part in an organized trip to historical, cultural or scenic points of interest 2 times a week in the afternoon. Here you can immediately apply, what you have learned in the practice or by making contact with other people.
Staying with a host family gives you the best chance to apply your newly acquired language skills and simultaneously to gain insight into the everyday´s life of a local family. The families will try to provide your staying as pleasant as possible. Of course, you also have the option of staying in a hotel, apartments, or boarding house. The capital of Colombia, with its nearly 7 million inhabitants, is a multicultural metropolis and economic center of the country. It lies at an altitude of 2640 m above sea level on a plateau of the Andes. The center has got a variety of historical buildings from the colonial period - particularly at the "Plaza Bolivar"with its public buildings and churches. The school is also located in the historical part of town.
The second largest city in the country is located in the "Aburra Valley" at an altitude of 1500 meters. The city is famous for its gardens with many exotic plants and the annual flower festival. Because of the mild temperatures the inhabitants call their city the "City of eternal spring".
It`s one of the most beautiful colonial cities in South America and a tourist center on the Caribbean coast. The walled old city center with its fortress is an UNESCO World Heritage and a highlight for every Colombian traveller. Next to the historic district, situated on a peninsula, is the hotel zone "Boca Grande" with a variety of entertainment facilities, restaurants, bars, nightclubs and so on. A special highlight is to celebrate in a moving bus, the "rumba en chiva".
